Pyramid 5K CSULB (2009 November 8)

hydration is important, even when not racing

Story

Cathy registered both herself and Ken to run the Pyramid 5K, but, since Ken stubbed his toe, and it was still a bit bruised, he didn’t run, so instead he took me to watch the race.

First I met Elsa, a pit bull/lab mix (maybe??) brown with black tiger-like strips. We sniffed, and then ignored each other. Though a little later, I jumped up and down to let Elsa know I wanted to play, but she ignored me again…

There was a big St. Bernard there, and I wanted to play with him, so I acted tough, and barked at him. Then the owner turned him away from me. I growled and barked some more, but they still would not come over to play with me!

I really wanted to race, especially when I saw the big male St. Bernard in the race, playing with a black Labrador retriever.
