Wednesday we drove south to San Diego. For a moment I thought Mom and Dad were taking me back to Mexico where I was born… But we stopped before we reached the border. Whew! That was close. I was sad, then glad.
But we did stop at a hotel and dropped Mom off. I was sad and cried. I said “Bye bye Mom!”
Then Dad took me to Ocean Beach Dog Beach, and I was so very happy! I stole a ball from a slow dog. He wasn’t very good at chasing me. Another girl kept biting me while chasing me… but at least she was chasing me, and I love being chased. So I didn’t complain too much about the biting. I even learned to swim a little when the water was deeper than the length of my legs.
Thursday morning Dad took me to El Dorado Dog Park
Friday Dad took me back on the Freeway toward San Diego, but I was so excited and traffic was moving very slow. So I danced around in the back seat of the car. Dad liked my dancing so much that he took me to Bark Park
Then we continued to San Diego and picked Mom up and walked around in San Diego. I learned how to hug from a very large sailor and his gal. You’ll can see me practicing with Zoey in another photo.
On the way home we stopped at Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. I met a young girl who adored chasing me, and didn’t even want to fight over the ball I stole from her. I practiced swimming a little more too.
Friday is also my standing play-date with my best buddy, Gandolf. As soon as I got out of the car, I smelled Gandalf’s car. Yup, he’s here. I was very excited, I announced to Gandalf that I was on my way. He ran to the gate to greet me. We shared a drink and laughed while I told Gandalf of my adventures.
I was very tired after going to 3 different dog parks in one day. So Saturday and Sunday I just loafed around at home, with some short walks to go potty.
Monday I was fully recovered and ready to play some more. So Mom and Dad took me to Bark Park again. I got in a little an argument with another husky about who won Tug-O-War with a rope toy. So another man stuck the rope toy up in a tree. I tried climbing the tree, but the branch was too high. Someday I will be able to climb trees and I’ll get that toy back again 😉
Tuesday Mom and Dad wanted to go pick up their race numbers for the Surf City Run on July 4th Wednesday. So first we stopped at Huntington Central Park Dog Park. I practiced hugging (like I learned from the sailor in San Diego) with my friend Zoey, one of my husky girlfriends.
Now I’m resting up so I can run/walk the 5K tomorrow morning. We’ll have more photos from that later.
