Sunday I rode in the car with mom and dad to Irvine Regional Park. We met up with hundreds of other dogs (and people) and walked and ran a 5K course through the park with the other dogs (and people). I really wanted to run from the very start. There were a lot of dogs (and people) in front of us who needed to be passed by me! But dad held me back, making me walk the first mile. By the second mile I wasn’t pulling as much, and that saved me some energy, so that I could run parts of the 3rd mile, and cheerfully sprint across the finish-line!
